Job Responsibilities:

+ Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and programs in line with organizational goals.

+ Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

+ Lead incident investigations, analyse root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

+ Provide training and resources to employees on health and safety best practices to ensure compliance and awareness.

+ Monitor health and safety performance metrics, preparing reports for management and recommending improvements.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate health and safety practices into daily operations.

+ Stay current with local, national, and international health and safety regulations and best practices.

+ Serve as the primary contact for health and safety inquiries and represent the organization in regulatory discussions.

+ Manage and mentor health and safety team members to align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.

+ Promote employee wellness initiatives to enhance overall workplace health.

Qualifications:

+ Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

+ Proven ability to conduct effective risk assessments and safety audits.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to risk management.

+ Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are highly desirable.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety , Environmental Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
