Position Overview** **:
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the Engineering Team through process engineering, sustaining engineering, new model integration, and production support activities. Supervises Manufacturing Engineers. Develop and validate new systems and tools to drive quality and production improvements. Develops and validates solutions to technical problems. Ensures achievement of safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals. Drives execution of process improvements. Coordinates activities with all other production and support departments.

Roles and Responsibilities:
+ Fosters a safety culture as the highest priority, driving to zero accidents and injuries. Drives safety programs and initiatives. Measures performance, drives continuous improvement, and corrects unsafe conditions with the highest sense of urgency.
+ Develops and drives customer focus culture within the team.
+ Drives processes and systems to ensure the highest quality product, free from defects. Is accountable to the total quality of their deliveries and ensures employees are trained to complete tasks per quality standards. Measures performance, drives continuous improvement, and corrects manufacturing issues with a high sense of urgency.
+ Utilize Lean Manufacturing tools and methodology to reduce waste, streamline processes, and improve manufacturing processes. Administers the Production Line Balance process and media to communicate daily information to the production floor.
+ Lead production participation in new model integration programs to include project timelines, manufacturing readiness, design for manufacturing & internal communications. Drive cross functional integration process improvements with PD&E, sourcing & internal functional departments during new product release.
+ Lead production participation in yearly Model Change/sustaining engineering programs and Special Instructions to include project timelines, manufacturing readiness, design for manufacturing & internal communications.
+ Lead value analysis (VA/VE) reviews for all assigned products. Constantly evaluate opportunities for alternate components, construction techniques, and assemblies to ensure competitive advantage and attainment of required product margins.
+ Create and make readily available the necessary manufacturing documents such as work instructions, prints, etc.
+ Ensures the integrity of prints and BOM and execution of engineering changes. Execute semi-annual BOM rollover updates.
+ Initiate, design, develop, optimize, and solve problems for new & existing products & systems to meet safety, quality and operational performance expectations. Removes obstacles with a high sense of urgency.
+ Manages department costs including S&E budget and overtime.
+ Embraces teamwork and collaboration with production and support departments.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering (ISYE, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electrical) required.
+ Certification in project management desired.
+ Lean Six Sigma certification desired.
+ Minimum of 8 years of experience leading engineering activities required. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Larger facility experience (200 population or greater) preferred.
+ Broad experience in highly disciplined product development process desired
+ Broad experience in new product launching into manufacturing desired
+ Knowledge and experience with USCG, NMMA, and ABYC preferred.
+ Experience with reading and creating technical prints, Bill of materials, and Solid Works software required.
Ability to analyze data and present concise messages to the business required
The pay range for this position is $82,600.00- $133,000.00 annually. The actual pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business need, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for discretionary bonus or short-term incentive program.
