Job Summary and Qualifications

The Product Analyst II for Support Services Applications serves as a subject matter expert and connection point between business stakeholders, vendor, and IT support for applicable technologies. The scope of applications included for this role include both existing and yet-to-be defined products. The product analyst will work closely with other analysts, product owners/managers, and development teams (as applicable) to understand user needs, gather requirements, application support and issue resolution, and drive product improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Support and Documentation

Product Support – Triages and resolves support tickets from end users related to issues around the application.

Documentation – Contributes to the creation and maintenance of production documentation, including assisting with education materials, test plans, feature documentation and knowledge base articles

Incidents and Requests - Escalates as appropriate, and coordinates resolution across all parties.

Customer Service - Acts with empathy to provide the highest level of service to resolve issues and answer questions for end users and other stakeholders.

Information Security - Supports security reviews/requests and maintains appropriate documentation.

Product Analysis

Analysis – Supports the collection and documentation of user requirements by interacting with end users and internal stakeholders

Design – Works with other analysts and developers to help design software solutions that address the needs of our business partners

Participate in complex projects supporting technology initiatives

Develop and maintain SLAs, ISAM, data extracts, and other application support

Analyze product data to identify trends and make recommendations for product improvement

Configuration and Customization - Works closely with teams (internal or external) to meet customer needs, configure and test the application, and prepare environments for go-live.

Implementations - Works closely with the business to plan for go-live, ensure knowledge transfer and training, and prepare for initial activities within the system.

Data Management and Integrations

Data Capture and Flow - Understands how data enters the system, where it flows, and what it means to better support any issues or data transmission failures.

Integrations – Helps supports data exchange between various HCA Healthcare systems and understands the mechanisms facilitating the integration.

Product Maintenance and Enhancements

Change Coordination - Documents system maintenance and changes and works with senior analysts for approval and implementation

Enhancement Backlog - Handles intake of enhancement requests and works with senior team members to prioritize and determine feasibility.

Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, refinement, sprint planning) to ensure alignment of product priorities.

Quality Assurance - Performs and documents testing of system changes in pre-production environments and performs smoke testing in production (when applicable).

Vendor Relationship – works closely with vendor (internal or external), actively participates in regular meetings, stays informed of product roadmap, and coordinates maintenance and releases.

Teamwork and Communication

Written Communication - Prepares formal email communications and other documents to be distributed to wide audiences (e.g. downtime messages, go-live announcements, release notes).

Collaboration - Builds relationships, communicates, and collaborates with stakeholders, personalities, and technical expertise (e.g. business leaders, end users, vendors, project teams, etc.).

Accountability - Motivated to work independently and holds self accountable as an effective way to build trust and drive progress.

COMPETENCIES

Professional

Ability to operate within a matrixed organization

Familiarity with various delivery processes- SCRUM, Agile, etc.

Experience with clinical, hospitality, facility management, or supply chain applications

Communication

This role requires strong written and verbal communication skills. The product analyst will be responsible for communicating with a variety of audiences and must be comfortable presenting to stakeholders and business leaders.

Teamwork

The product analyst must have a strong sense of accountability and be self-motivated. This individual must work well in a team-based, collaborative environment and be comfortable both giving and receiving direction.

Vision

This individual should have a strategic mindset, stay abreast of current technology trends, and be committed to product/process improvement.

What qualifications you will need:

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree - Preferred

3 or more years of relevant work experience

Travel - May require travel from time-to-time, but not on a regular basis

In-office presence expected weekly (hybrid schedule)
