    The University of Southern California (USC), founded in 1880, is the largest private employer in the City of Los Angeles.     The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine of the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California is seeking to fill two full-time faculty positions (open rank) with outstanding, academically-oriented candidates with demonstrated expertise in Surgical Pathology. Sub-specialty fellowship training in Genitourinary, Gastrointestinal, Head & Neck, Gynecologic or Breast Pathology is desirable.

     

    The successful candidates will serve the needs of a busy practice at Keck Hospital of USC, and USC/Norris Cancer Hospital and Research Institute. The appointees will contribute to the education of medical students, residents and surgical pathology fellows.

     

    Applicants must hold an MD or DO degree, be eligible for an unrestricted California Medical License and be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Anatomic Pathology. The Department values experience in translational and/or clinical research. The appointment will be in the Clinical or Clinical Scholar series. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications.

     

    The annual base salary range for this position is $220,000-$400.000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
