    Are you passionate about leading complex technical programs that protect Amazon's employees, assets, and operations globally? Protective Services is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to join our Protective Services Product Tech (PSPT) team.

    ABOUT THE TEAM

    PSPT builds and delivers technology solutions that enable Amazon's Protective Services organizations to operate securely and efficiently at global scale. We support critical protective operations including Amazon Corporate Security (ACS), Executive Protection (EP), Emergency Services Unit (ESU), and Amazon Media & Events (M&E) through four specialized technology pillars: Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Product/Program Tech, and Software Engineering.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will:

    • Drive strategic planning and execution of multi-year technology roadmaps across the Protective Services portfolio

    • Own the development and delivery of the organization's 3-Year Plan (3YP), Operating Plan (OP), and key strategic initiatives

    • Lead complex, cross-functional programs spanning multiple security domains and technical teams

    • Establish and maintain program governance, including metrics, operational excellence mechanisms, and quarterly business reviews

    • Partner with engineering teams to define technical requirements and deliver scalable security solutions

    • Manage stakeholder relationships at all levels while driving alignment across diverse business units

    • Champion data-driven decision making and operational excellence across the organization

    • Drive technical innovation and process improvements that enhance security operations

    • Develop comprehensive business cases and funding proposals for strategic initiatives

    • Create and maintain program dashboards and executive-level reporting

    • Lead organizational change management and adoption strategies

    ABOUT YOU

    The right candidate will be a strategic thinker with proven experience managing large-scale technical programs. You should have hands-on experience with:

     

    • Program and project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)

    • Technical roadmap development and strategic planning

    • Enterprise software development and deployment

    • Cloud technologies and AWS services

    • Enterprise platforms like Salesforce or similar systems

    • Data analytics and business intelligence tools

    • Risk management and compliance frameworks

    • Business case development and financial planning

    • Stakeholder management and executive communications

    • Portfolio and resource management

    • Change management and organizational transformation

    • Technical architecture and system design principles

    • Vendor management and procurement processes

    Key Leadership Competencies:

    • Proven ability to influence without authority across multiple organizations

    • Experience leading programs with significant organizational impact

    • Strong executive presence and communication skills

    • Track record of delivering results in complex, matrix environments

    • Ability to break down strategic initiatives into executable plans

    • Experience managing competing priorities and making data-driven decisions

     

    You should excel at both strategic thinking and tactical execution, with demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and drive results in a complex environment.

    Basic Qualifications

    - 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

     

    - 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

     

    - 3+ years of software development experience

     

    - 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

     

    - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

    Preferred Qualifications

    - 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

     

    - Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

     

    - Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
