What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational and government locations, including both the interior and exterior perimeters, to help to deter unauthorized activities.

+ Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter potential security-related issues and provide a visible presence.

+ Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as required.

+ Document incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols and client requirements.

+ Assist with access control, visitor management, and enforcement of site rules and regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Have at least 1 year of armed security-related experience, law enforcement experience, or military experience.

+ Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ A guard card or license is preferred.

+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
