As a **Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol - Industrial** in **Norfolk, VA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to all individuals on site. By remaining visible and approachable, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies while responding to emergencies as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential risks.

+ Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.

+ Assist employees, visitors, and contractors with security-related inquiries and access procedures as required for a manufacturing and industrial location.

+ Follow post orders and instructions from Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.

+ Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

+ A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
