As a **Security Officer - Distribution Access Control** in **Cedar Rapids, IA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain order. Your presence will be visible and approachable, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to all individuals on site. What You'll Do:

+ Control access to the location by verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.

+ Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or breaches.

+ Assist with visitor and contractor management, following site-specific protocols for the logistics and distribution environment.

+ Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting personnel and visitors with directions or information related to access procedures.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established Allied Universal procedures.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter security-related incidents.

+ Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or suspicious activity according to site protocols.

+ Collaborate with site personnel and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents or drills.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
