Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with a focus on cable engineering and electronics to join our team. Your expertise will play a crucial role in supporting our cable design and engineering projects. Responsibilities

+ Engage in cable engineering and design tasks.

+ Collaborate with senior engineers, design peers, and drafters/designers to develop designs.

+ Work on electrical and connection schematics.

+ Design and develop Printed Wiring Boards (PWB) and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) as needed.

+ Handle tasks related to 3-Phase 115V AC power systems and DC power supplies.

+ Manage digital signals including copper data, fiber data, video, and audio.

+ Maintain an organized work queue and ensure timely task completion.

+ Investigate design questions and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Essential Skills

+ 3-7 years of work experience in a technical or engineering role.

+ Proficiency in cable harness design.

+ Experience with electrical/connection schematics.

+ Knowledge of designing PWBs and CCAs.

+ Familiarity with 3-Phase 115V AC power systems.

+ Experience with DC power supplies (5V, 12V, 28V).

+ Understanding of digital signals (copper data, fiber data, video, audio).

+ A 4-year degree or greater in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with AutoCAD Electrical.

+ Experience in electronics and power, wiring harnesses, schematic design, electrical design, and panel building.

+ Ability to work with connectors, components, and fiber optic cables.

+ Willingness to learn new skills and disciplines related to cable design.

+ Strong communication skills for effective team collaboration.

+ Capability to manage personal workload efficiently.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burnsville, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $58.00/hr.
