    Job Title: Civil EIT - Water/Wastewater

    Job Description

    We are seeking an entry-level Water/Wastewater Environmental Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our team. This role is ideal for a someone who is ready to embark on a career with a well-established civil engineering firm. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including wastewater collection, water distribution, and remote facility infrastructure.

    Responsibilities

    + Communicate effectively with stakeholders through verbal and written means.

    + Prepare engineering calculations, utilize modeling software, and draft reports for water/wastewater infrastructure.

    + Conduct fieldwork, including observations and site visits.

    + Support the design of water distribution, wastewater collection, reclaimed piping, and remote facility infrastructure projects.

    + Perform engineering analysis and calculations for equipment sizing, hydraulic calculations, and pump selection.

    + Assist in the preparation of contract documents, including plans, specifications, engineering cost estimates, and reports.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline.

    + Fundamentals of Engineering exam (E.I.T.) passed prior to starting.

    + 0 to 3 years of experience.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

    + Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and WaterCAD or other hydraulic modeling software.

    + Ability to organize, interpret, and analyze data.

    + Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to use independent judgment.

    + Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

    + Clear and concise communication skills.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Coursework in water/wastewater distribution and collection systems or facilities is a plus.

    + Experience with stormwater management design and site development.

    + Knowledge of Civil 3D, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other design software.

    Work Environment

    You will work in an office environment with a team of 75-85 civil engineering professionals. This position also includes some outdoor fieldwork. Our firm offers a collaborative and supportive atmosphere, with opportunities for bonuses and ownership.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
