Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Laboratory Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing experiments following established standard operating procedures maintaining lab equipment and supplies and ensuring safety in our wet lab facilities. This role plays a critical part in supporting the smooth operation of our laboratory and contributing to the success of our research and development activities.
Responsibilities:
+ Executing established standard operating procedures SOPs which includes cleaning laboratory glassware using appropriate techniques preparing and processing organic solutions and handling electrical and mechanical components in our system.
+ Accurately document all laboratory experiments including objectives methods results and observations. Ensure traceability and reproducibility of experiments.
+ Organize and maintain laboratory parts supplies and equipment. Conduct regular inventory checks and reorder supplies as necessary.
+ Prepare reports or summaries of experimental findings as needed for internal review and collaboration. Communicate effectively regarding laboratory needs issues or changes.
+ Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field e.g. chemistry biology biochemistry engineering or equivalent with 5 years of related experience.
+ Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques involving organic chemicals and solvents and additional training will be provided.
+ Organizational skills and ability to manage inventory.
+ Ability to follow safety guidelines for handling hazardous chemicals use of personal protective equipment PPE and operation of lab safety equipment like fume hoods.
+ Good documentation communication and teamwork skills.
+ Experience in organic chemistry optics and crystallization.
+ Experience in slicing and polishing brittle samples such as glass and ceramics.

This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
