    Job Title: Medical Device Real-World Evidence Data Analyst

    Job Description

    Join our Clinical Evidence Evaluation team as a Medical Device RWE Data Analyst, providing crucial support for cardiovascular trials. Leverage your programming skills and expertise in claims and electronic health record (EHR) data to conduct insightful analyses of real-world data sets, contributing to the understanding of post-market safety and performance across a diverse range of interventional cardiology products.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct data analysis of medical coding and clinical real-world evidence to assess the safety and performance of medical device products.

    + Evaluate product utilization and identify target populations using technical expertise in relational databases, data models, and segmentation techniques.

    + Utilize programming languages, particularly SAS, to mine and assess real-world data.

    + Ensure the quality and replicability of results through appropriate documentation and validation.

    + Utilize large data sets to draw conclusions about product-related assessments with attention to detail and accuracy.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in data analysis and data entry.

    + Experience with clinical documentation and medical device data.

    + Strong coding experience, particularly with SAS.

    + Experience working with claims databases and real-world data sources, primarily using SAS.

    + Ability to extract, organize, and analyze data from claims databases.

    + Critical thinking skills and the ability to leverage existing code to modify specific analyses.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in data science, public health, health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, healthcare administration, or a related discipline.

    + At least 1 year of experience with real-world data sources, primarily in claims databases using SAS.

    + Experience in Premier Healthcare Database.

    + Medical Device

    + RWE and SAS experience.

    + Experience with the quantitative validation of phenotype definitions in real-world data and the coding vocabularies used to define variables (e.g., ICD, CPT).

    This position is remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements.

    This is a Contract position based out of Maple Grove, MN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
