The primary role of the Construction Project Manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in various fields such as engineering, research and development, financial systems, and product roll-out. The focus will be on managing non-IT based projects.
Responsibilities
+ Coordinate projects by making detailed plans to achieve goals and direct the integration of technical activities.
+ Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.
+ Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
+ Analyze technology resource needs and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
+ Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
+ Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.
+ Conduct site walks focused on safety, project QA/QC, and adherence to schedule.
+ Participate in meetings and advocate for client interests.
Essential Skills
+ 5-7 years of experience in construction project management.
+ PMP certification.
+ LEED certification.
+ Degrees and/or professional licenses in Construction Management or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or similar experience.
+ OSHA 3 certification.
+ Proficiency in project management, construction, construction management, and construction safety.
+ Knowledge of Primavera P6.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
+ Experience in managing Data Centers or Mission Critical Facilities.
+ Construction Health & Safety knowledge.
+ Ability to read and understand commercial lease agreements.
+ Fluency in Spanish is an advantage.
+ Commissioning experience.
+ Strong soft skills, including verbal and written communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
+ Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
+ Proficiency in computer software such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visio.
Work Environment
This position is 100% onsite in Richmond. Candidates must be willing to relocate, though no relocation assistance is available. The role involves executing weekly reports detailing progress and deviations and meeting safety standards, with a target of sub-industry standard RIR. Candidates are expected to make 5 safety observations per week.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $61.00 - $71.00/hr.
