Job Title: Engineering AssociateJob Description
We are seeking an Engineering Associate to join our team and work on enhancing distribution design improvements. This role involves engaging with customers to determine their needs and executing design work using proprietary software. The role is a balance of field and office work, with opportunities to collaborate with other technicians.
Responsibilities
+ Engage with customers to identify their needs for distribution design improvements.
+ Utilize proprietary design software to develop required improvements.
+ Input design requests into internal systems and oversee project completion in the field.
+ Spend approximately 40% of time meeting with customers and 60% executing designs in the office.
Essential Skills
+ A 4-year ABET-accredited engineering degree.
+ Strong critical thinking skills.
+ Professional presentation and communication abilities.
+ Knowledge of electrical concepts such as transformers, electrical distribution, and conductors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience in distribution design is an advantage.
+ A desire to work within a large utility company.
Work Environment
The work environment includes a personal cubicle and workstation within a small team of technicians. The dress code is business casual, typically jeans and a polo. Once initial training is complete, there is some flexibility in working hours to accommodate personal schedules, with typical hours ranging from 7 AM to 4 PM or 8 AM to 5 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
