• Engineering Test Technician

    Description

    The Test Technician builds, assembles, and tests electro-mechanical prototypes, performs electrical checks, and troubleshoots hardware and software issues. This role requires hands-on skills in prototyping, basic programming in PYTHON, CAD modeling, and fabrication techniques such as soldering and harnessing.

    Responsibilities:

    Prototyping & Assembly: Building and assembling electro-mechanical components at various design stages.

     

    Electrical Testing: Performing electrical checks on fully assembled prototypes to ensure functionality and safety.

     

    Troubleshooting: Diagnosing hardware and software failures in collaboration with engineers.

     

    Programming Basics: Ability to write simple scripts in Python, Java, or C++ for testing or automation.

     

    CAD Modeling: Creating simple parts and fixtures using CAD software.

     

    Fabrication Skills: Soldering, harnessing, and machine-shop operations.

     

    Data Analysis & Documentation: Recording test results, analyzing performance data, and maintaining technical documentation.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    -Test Fixture: jigs or fixtures

     

    -Test Equipment: multimeters, oscilloscopes, diagnostic tools

     

    -Programming: execute Python test scripts

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Francisco, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
