    Job Title: Production Technician

    Job Description

    A Production Technician is required for an automotive glass company located in Vonore, TN. The position involves working night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:45 AM on a 2, 2, 3 rotating schedule.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate CNC equipment to cut automotive glass.

    + Manage processes including machine operation, using basic math for adjustments, quality checking with calipers, and data entry.

    + Conduct visual inspections of products.

    + Adhere to safety, quality, performance, and attendance rules.

    + Load and unload glass on various conveyor systems.

    + Move racks of product using powered industrial trucks.

    + Band racks of product according to specifications.

    + Pack products into racks for shipment within the plant or to customers.

    + Perform adjustments and minor repairs to machinery as needed.

    + Generate and maintain necessary records.

    + Achieve operator certification in all functions worked.

    + Participate in continuous improvement (LEAN) actions.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with CNC machining.

    + Proficiency with cutting tools and glass cutting.

    + Ability to use calipers and perform data entry.

    + Basic math skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Prior experience with CNC equipment is preferred.

    + Experience working with or cutting glass is ideal.

    + Capability to do basic math and enter data for production runs into a computer.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a loud automotive plant, requiring hearing protection. Due to the industrial setting, steel/composite toe footwear is necessary. Working with glass requires caution, and employees must wear pants, boots, gloves, and long sleeves. The schedule follows a 2, 2, 3 rotating night shift from 6:30 PM to 6:45 AM.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vonore, TN.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.55 - $19.55/hr.
