Job Title: Safety Coordinator

Job Description

As a Safety Coordinator, you will be instrumental in assisting Plant Managers with the design, definition, improvement, and maintenance of safety programs. You will educate employees to achieve a deep understanding of 'risk assessment' with the aim of achieving a zero accident, zero incident workplace. This role requires you to manage and review all work-related injury situations and improve record-keeping practices.

Responsibilities

+ Assist Plant Managers in designing, defining, improving, and maintaining safety programs.

+ Educate employees through the Safety Steering Committee to understand risk assessment and achieve zero accident, zero incident workplace goals.

+ Manage and review all work-related injury situations, including minor injuries and recordable injuries, incident documentation, and investigation.

+ Identify and analyze potential workplace hazards to prevent accidents and injuries.

+ Prepare and conduct safety training sessions for employees, including the development of written policies.

+ Support plant personnel in the selection of appropriate personal protective equipment.

+ Assist in the implementation of a hazard communication program and the preparation of reports.

+ Audit practices and records of manufacturing plants to ensure compliance with company programs and federal/state occupational safety and health regulations.

+ Continuously study government agency regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and enhance personal skills and knowledge.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of experience as a Health & Safety Coordinator.

+ Proficiency in safety coordination and management.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Converse, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
