Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
As a General Production Worker, you will play a crucial role in operating equipment such as pallet jacks, banders, and stretch wrappers. Your responsibilities will include assisting machine operators with setup, monitoring pallet construction and packaging, adhering to safety protocols, and collaborating with team members to enhance production processes.
Responsibilities
+ Operate pallet jacks, banders, and stretch wrappers safely and efficiently.
+ Assist machine operators with machine setup, adjustments, and material loading.
+ Conduct and monitor pallet construction and packaging for quality assurance.
+ Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
+ Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and workflow.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area, including waste disposal.
+ Complete production logs and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
+ Participate in training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with warehouse operations, including shipping, packaging, and inventory management.
+ Proficiency in using pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts.
+ Knowledge of material handling and expediting processes.
+ Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
+ Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
+ Experience in loading raw materials and monitoring machine performance.
+ Capability to perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
+ Inspect products for quality and report any defects.
+ Coordinate the movement of materials and finished goods between departments.
+ Track production schedules and ensure timely delivery of components.
+ Maintain accurate records of inventory and production flow.

Work Environment
The work environment is a non-climate-controlled production setting that is clean and organized. The role involves working in shifts: 1st shift from 6am-2pm, Monday to Friday, and 2nd shift from 2pm-Midnight, Monday to Thursday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Suffolk, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
