Summary:

Huntington is looking for qualified candidates to become Escrow Loan Closers who coordinate preparation of loan closing packages, including closing instructions, collection of final figures for completion of the HUD-1, cutting checks and disbursing funds, necessary to ensure the marketability of loans.

Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Interface with closing agents to ensure firm closing dates and accurate completion of loan files.

+ May preside over closing as an authorized representative of the company, ensuring all requirements have been satisfied, including insurance, guarantee, etc.

+ Issue wire fund transfers as required.

+ Assure payoffs are accurate and delivered timely.

+ Work in conjunction with title agent to clear any impeding title matters.

+ Reconcile general ledger escrow account monthly.

+ Reviewing mortgages and deeds to ensure they are recorded in a timely manner.

+ Cutting checks and disbursing funds, necessary to ensure the marketability of loans. Interface with closing agents to ensure firm closing dates and accurate completion of loan files.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma

+ 3+ years loan closing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Strong knowledge of legal requirements and regulations covering FHA, VA, GNMA, FNMA and FHLMC.
