Management Company Lead

Join a lean, high-performing team transforming the corporate finance and accounting function at a leading venture capital firm. This role will spearhead the evolution of a QuickBooks and Google Sheets-based accounting and FP& A function into a modern, scalable platform. Ideal candidates have experience leading major accounting system implementations and driving efficiency through outsourcing and process automation.

About the Role

You’ll manage day-to-day financial operations for the Management Company, including general ledger, accounts payable, financial statement preparation, and FP& A. This position offers significant influence over system selection, process improvements, and operational strategy.

Key Responsibilities

+ Oversee financial operations including GL, AP, budgeting, forecasting, and P& L management.

+ Prepare global consolidated budgets and quarterly forecasts with variance analysis.

+ Automate expense allocation processes across entities.

+ Lead selection and implementation of new accounting and FP& A software.

+ Improve AP/AR efficiency through technology and outsourcing solutions.

+ Collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ 5–10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in alternative investments or related fields.

+ CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

+ Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle operational accounting.

+ Proven experience in system implementation and process optimization.

+ Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
