Summary:
As a Quality Planning Manager, you will lead Quality Planning part to meet the compliance with the organization’s management plans of quality department and customer requirements in timely manner. Other responsibilities include managing internal/external audit plans and results, maintaining and updating quality management system/process, and monitoring operation and investment plans in quality department to completion.
Responsibilities:
+ Understand customer specific requirements and make improvements where it’s necessary.
+ Have knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 standards to plan internal audits and maintain certification status.
+ Utilize AIAG Core Tools to conduct root cause analysis and manage corrective actions for nonconformities in compliance with CSR and IATF 16949 requirements.
+ Take ownership of the management of quality documents / processes to maintain the validity of each document / process.
+ Monitor overall quality goals and establish (or suggest) strategic goals for improvement
+ Facilitate regular review meetings by understanding key topics, ensuring focused discussions, and guiding teams toward actionable improvement decisions.
+ Facilitate liaison activities between headquarters and local teams, providing guidance and support to ensure effective communication, alignment, and collaboration on key initiatives.
+ Manage the QA department’s investment plan and monitor its progress to ensure efficient expenditure and timely completion.
+ Monitor the quality system, understand related processes, and communicate system updates and procedural changes to relevant teams.
+ Maintain cleanliness at worksite in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
+ Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
+ Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
+ Conduct thorough and timely Layered Process Audits in appropriate work areas
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant experience
Experience:
+ 7 to 10+ years of Manufacturing/Quality Assurance/Engineering experience in the Manufacturing industry or equivalent experience
+ 3 to 6+ years of experience leading/managing multiple departments or functions globally
+ Experience working in a large global manufacturing company, preferably automotive
Skills:
+ Fluency in Korean
+ AIAG Core Tools
+ Knowledge of quality management systems including IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 standards
+ RCA (root cause analysis) and CAPA (corrective and preventive action) implementation
+ Problem-solving mindset
+ Process documentation and control
+ Clear and concise communication (written and verbal)
+ Work experience with senior management
+ Effective workflow and process management
+ Time Management
+ Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
+ Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support and work with HQ and global site
