Job Title: Securities Analyst IIJob Description
Join our dynamic Securities Administration Services (SAS) group as a Securities Analyst II. You will be responsible for processing complex transactions and reconciling loan or security payments. This role involves providing remittance and correction information to servicers, monitoring and analyzing pooled loans for non-compliance, and communicating with investors. Evaluate servicer performance to ensure compliance with agreements and participate in system enhancements.
Responsibilities
+ Process complex transactions and reconcile loan or security payments.
+ Provide remittance and correction information to servicers.
+ Monitor and analyze pooled loans to determine non-compliance and communicate findings to investors.
+ Evaluate servicer performance to ensure compliance with agreements.
+ Participate in system enhancements by attending user groups and testing.
+ Communicate processing exceptions relevant to similar series across portfolios.
+ Maintain expertise in areas such as Collateral, Securities, Default, or Trust Administration.
+ Train junior staff and review their processing and reconciliations.
+ Propose recommendations and implement automated solutions.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and V Look Up.
+ Strong business analysis and financial analysis skills.
+ Experience in data management and accounting.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Math, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business, or related fields.
+ At least 1 year of experience in Financial Services (internship experience acceptable).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with multiple database systems.
+ Ability to research and interpret controlling legal documents related to collateral or bond payments.
Work Environment
This position offers a team-oriented and task-based environment with a hybrid flexible schedule. You will have remote flexibility, except during large conferences or team meetings, which occur monthly on-site in Columbia, MD. The role demands a deadline-driven mindset, as analyses must be completed at certain points during the month, potentially requiring overtime. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
