    Description

    Hiring a Staff Accountant to support financial operations and reporting for our Houston-based Accounting team. This role focuses on used machinery sales, inventory reconciliation, and financial analysis for internal departments and partnership entities.

     

    + Perform costing and inventory reconciliations for Used Machinery sales

    + Report and file Heavy Equipment Inventory Tax (HEIT) and Motor Vehicle Inventory Tax (MVIT) monthly

    + Reconcile Accounts Receivable, Notes Receivable, and Bad Debt Allowance accounts

    + Maintain and reconcile Miscellaneous Accruals

    + Handle accounting for select partnership entities

    + Prepare monthly gross profit and expense analysis for Used Machinery and partnership divisions

    + Assist with general ledger, internal reporting, and month-end close activities

    + Support financial analysis and audit preparation as needed

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience

     

    Bachelor's Degree in Accounting - MUST be an accredited university

     

    Doesn't want someone from a construction background - retail accounting preferred

     

    Strong reconciliation and financial analysis abilities

     

    Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

     

    Must have experience with XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data analysis

     

    Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated

     

    Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
