Low Voltage Installation Technician

About the Role

TEKsystems is seeking motivated Low Voltage Installation Technicians in Nashville. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for individuals with at least one year of experience in low voltage installation. You’ll be working on commercial projects involving security systems, audio/video, telecommunications, and related low voltage devices.

Responsibilities

+ Install, maintain, and repair low voltage electrical systems in commercial environments

+ Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams

+ Install and program security, audio/video, and telecommunications systems

+ Troubleshoot wiring and connectivity issues

+ Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations

+ Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines

+ Maintain accurate records of work performed

+ Provide professional customer service to clients

Qualifications

+ High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or associate degree preferred

+ At least 1 year of experience with low voltage/electrical systems in commercial settings

+ Familiarity with local and national electrical codes

+ Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics

+ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

+ Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented

+ Excellent communication and teamwork skills

+ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
