    We are looking for you to join our team as a **Manager Project Management 3** , onsite in **San Diego, CA** . You will be joining the **Secure Processing and Networks (SPAN) Business Unit (BU)** within the **Navigation, Intelligence, and Connectivity Division** **(NIC) Division** .

    What you will get to do:

    We are looking for a proven leader with a strong planning and programs background and a successful record in business operations and execution. The individual will be responsible for operating in a team environment across the BU, Operating Unit and program leadership, and functional organization leadership.

     

    The candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels. The candidate must possess, and be able to demonstrate, excellent written and verbal communication skills, possess strong leadership abilities and effective problem-solving capabilities. They must think ahead to anticipate potential challenges, ensuring they are addressed in advance or providing recommended options to leadership when necessary.

     

    The selected individual will serve as the **BU Chief of Staff** by leading the planning, preparation, coordination and execution of all BU level internal meetings and engagements. The selected individual will also support the BU in coordinating, assembly and delivery of key data artifacts, internal investment plan, and resource planning.

     

    The candidate will be responsible for coordinating all division level and sector level engagements, developing and maintaining the business operations dashboard to track performance metrics, and coordinate action tracking across the division leadership. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to influence up and down the chain of command is required, as is a proven track record of innovation, problem solving and career development.

    _Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:_

    + Integrate day-to-day operational objectives to meet the Business Unit’s financial, non-financial goals and assigned Sector Operating Objectives (SOOs)

    + Work with leadership to identify Business Unit focus areas for process improvement/streamlining and development and execution of operational initiatives

    + Prepare Business Unit VP for all senior level internal meetings and customer engagements with relevant information/materials such as talking points and relevant background information

    + Support business rhythms and coordinate the development, review and periodic reporting of applicable Business Unit operating objectives, and non-financial metrics

    + Ensure deliverables required by Division level business rhythms are coordinated among the staff and delivered timely

    + Drive execution of strategic initiatives and tasks initiated by the VP by working with cross-functional teams and business leaders across the organization

    + Act as a focal point for communication and collaboration among functional leaders and operations

    + Anticipate and proactively manage the materials, data and presentation needs for upcoming meetings and events

    + Support employee engagement activities such as VP Leadership All Hands, and Leader Site Visits

    + Leads internal special projects as requested by the VP, to include activities such as: establishing and leading a cross-functional team, developing and monitoring objectives, briefing senior leaders, and facilitating broader communication across division employees as appropriate.

    + Own and implement overall BU level digital assessment management. Apply 5S principles to digital warehouse and M365 based collaboration tools.

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years related professional experience OR a master’s degree AND 3 or more years of related professional experience.

    + Minimum of 3 years preparing and delivering formal presentations to upper-level or executive leadership, including presenting program status, metrics, or strategic outcomes and recommendations.

    + Demonstrated leadership experience including leading direct reports, project teams, cross functional initiatives, etc. with the responsibility of assigning tasks, tracking performance and achieving defined goals.

    + Demonstrated experience prioritizing and completing multiple tasks and projects within critical deadlines.

    + US Citizenship required.

    + Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance / SAP Security Clearance required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Demonstrated experience with cross campus/sector, or multi-discipline, collaboration.

    + Work that crosses typical organizational, site, sector boundaries.

    + Comprehensive knowledge of company and sector operations, policies, and procedures.

    Primary Level Salary Range: $159,500.00 - $239,300.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
