    Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (DS) is seeking a **Missile Production Program Manager 3** to lead **AARGM-ER Missile production** within the Advanced Weapons Business Unit located in Northridge, CA. Our Advanced Weapons team designs, develops, and manufactures missile systems that support U.S. national and allied security objectives.

     

    **This position is required to be full-time, on-site in the Northridge, CA location. No remote/telework arrangement is available for this position. Applicants must have an active US Government DoD Secret security clearance with ability to get cleared for SAP** .

    Description:

    The Missile Production Program Manager 3 will lead and manage the production of the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile-Extended Range (AARGM-ER), an air-launched, counter-air-defense weapon system for U.S. and FMS customers. The Missile Production Program Manager 3 oversees production contract execution phases including: kick-off, planning, material procurement, manufacturing, and delivery. The Missile Production Program Manager will be key in the production and strategic follow-on efforts within the AARGM-ER portfolio, reporting directly to the Director for AARGM and AARGM-ER Production Programs.

    Responsibilities:

    + Production planning, execution, and delivery to cost and schedule, and quality objectives.

    + Drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and cycle time through data-driven decision making

    + Build and strengthen customer relationships to identify growth opportunities.

    + Drive capture planning, proposal development, and long-term strategy.

    + Direct cross-functional IPTs to achieve performance goals.

    + Measure and report on program performance to stakeholders and leadership.

    + Negotiate contracts, contract changes, budgets, and schedules.

    + Manage program requirements, baselines, resources, and risk/opportunity plans.

    + Ensure adherence to all contracts, policies, and industry standards.

    + Present to DoD customers, executive leadership, and other key stakeholders.

    + Support and at times lead the development and adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost & schedule control methodologies and tools

    + Identify, allocate and manage program resources, including workforce planning

    + Coordinate with Government Property team in support of Government/customer supplied property or information (GFE, CFE, etc.)

    + Support the management of Intercompany Work Order (IWO) and Independent Suppliers to meet program objectives

    + **Customer Intimacy:** Builds strong, trusted relationships with customers and partners.

    + **High Resilience:** Integrity and resilience under pressure, and ability to make data-driven decisions.

    + **Continuous Improvement:** Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of program management experience OR a master’s degree and 8 years of program management experience.

    + 5+ years managing production programs

    + Experience leading high performing, cross-functional teams within the aerospace/defense sector

    + Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at or under cost achieving all requirements as either a project lead, an integrated program team lead, or a cost account manager.

    + Proficiency in project management tools and processes such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and Risk and Opportunity Management.

    + Management of firm fixed price (FFP) projects

    + Active US Government DoD Secret security clearance with ability to get cleared for SAP

    Preferred Qualifications

    + STEM or business degree; PMP® certification.

    + 5–10 years of direct production management

    + Proposal management experience.

    + Experience managing programs as the Prime Contractor for DoD Systems

    + Background with Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methods.

    Primary Level Salary Range: $187,000.00 - $280,600.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
