    Summary

    Under general supervision repairs, tests, calibrates and maintains various kinds of electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment associated with monitoring, protection and control of generation, transmission and communication equipment that has been previously deenergized, deactivated and removed from service. Works with and assists Technicians of higher grade. Continues to maintain active interest in this type of work and through reading and study should keep abreast of progress in electrical technology related to the work.

     

    Education, Experience and Certifications

     

    Two years electrical technical education college level or equivalent and one year experience as Technician A or equivalent.

    Hourly rates for union-represented employees are collectively bargained by theNew York Power Authorityand IBEW. The negotiated pay rate for this position is$43.44 per hour.
