Within the Ascent Protein team located in Denver we are seeking an Assistant Brand Manager (Internal Leprino Title:Marketing Planner) to move our organization to even larger levels of sports nutrition growth! At Ascent, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $66,000 and $77,000. This position has an annual target bonus of 5%.

What Youll Do:

+ Support Ascents mission to grow awareness and engagement by helping plan and execute brand campaigns that connect with athletes, families, and fitness communities!

+ Build annual brand and go-to-market plans in partnership with the Brand Managermanaging timelines, assets, and coordination with Sales, R&D, and Operations.

+ Support the design review process for graphics, packaging, and seasonal product updates.

+ Bring seasonal launches to life through messaging, creative assets, and public relations outreach that capture the spirit of Ascent.

+ Manage Ascents social media calendarwrite engaging captions, post, and build community interactions across Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest.

+ Track, analyze, and summarize content performance to help guide what comes next.

+ Partner with influencers and ambassadors to create authentic, share-worthy content that reflects Ascents values and builds loyalty.

+ Collaborate with our agency partners to develop social, video, and creative assets that inspire our audience.

+ Work with the Brand Manager and Head of Insights on new product conceptsdevelop slides, visuals, and questionnaires that help shape whats next for Ascent!

+ Serve as the main contact for our PR agency, coordinating campaigns, product samples, and reviews for approval.

+ Help prepare compelling pitch and retail sales decks that tell Ascents story clearly and visually.

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):

+ Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

+ 3+ years experience in a consumer-facing or CPG marketing role, such as a marketing coordinator, marketing specialist, assistant brand manager, or equivalent position with broad general marketing experience

+ Proficiency in PowerPoint or similar presentation software with the ability to design and build clear, visually appealing decks.

+ Basic familiarity with video creation tools (e.g., CapCut, Canva, or mobile editing apps).

+ Ability to coordinate multiple projects efficiently and stay organized across moving parts.

We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):

+ 1+ year(s) managing social media channels for a B2B or B2C brand

+ Experience with influencer platforms such as Grin and exposure to paid social campaigns.

+ Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar creative tools for content editing.

+ Knowledge of social analytics platforms and how to translate performance into actionable insights.

+ A curious, improvement-minded approach to building connections and growing a brand that stands for quality and authenticity!

Candidates, please note: Finalists will be asked to share one example of a short-form social media video theyve personally created for any brand or product, and one example of a presentation theyve previously built (i.e. sell deck, pitch deck, brand/marketing campaign deck, product sell deck, etc.). These samples help us understand your creative approach and presentation skillsno new work for Ascent will be requested.
