    Idaho Power (IPC) — located in vibrant Boise, Idaho — is looking for a _Functional Analyst II_ to join our Corporate Services and Communication team. It’s an exciting time to work for Idaho Power.     What does a Functional Analyst II do for us?

     

    They deliver advanced analytical and functional support to the organization, ensuring optimal system performance and business alignment. Responsibilities include:

     

    + Configuring, administering, and supporting systems at an advanced level

    + Performing comprehensive workflow and interface analyses to identify efficiencies and improvements

    + Defining and documenting complex business requirements and processes with precision

    + Translating business needs into technical specifications and effectively communicating them to technical teams

    + Testing and implementing new processes and functionality to enhance system capabilities

    + Troubleshooting and documenting system and user issues to ensure timely resolution

    + Designing, developing, and maintaining custom reports and queries to support data-driven decision-making

    A COMPETITIVE CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

    Knowledge of:

    + Software testing and documentation practices

    + Work stream application functionality

    + Testing methodologies

    + Supply Chain Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software logic experience

    + Procurement

    + Contracting

    + Inventory

    + Zycus Procurement Application

    + Hitachi- Asset Suite Software

    + Alemba Service Management Application

    Skills in:

    + Effective oral and written communication

    + Effective time management

    + Analyze problems and issues and reach solutions that meet business needs

    + Independently configure systems

    + Assist with system implementation and integrations

    + Translate business requirements into system specifications

    + Advise and influence colleagues

    + Process improvement methodologies

    Ability to:

    + Use logical reasoning and analysis

    + Troubleshoot problems and issues and reach solution that meets business needs

    + Interpret technical specifications and relate them to system functionality

    + Facilitate a group of stakeholders to design business processes to meet requirements

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Education:

    + Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or field related to area supported

    OR

    + An equivalent combination of education and IT or business operations experience

    Preferred:

    + Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or field related to area supported

    Experience:

    + 5 years of professional experience as an analyst in a related IT field or performing above duties in applicable system

    OR

    + 5 years of IPC experience in related operational area and 2 years of experience in applicable system functionality

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people. There may be occasional lifts of no more than 10 lbs. The above is a summary of the primary essential functions of the position.
