The Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan and office administration requirements.
Responsibilities

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
+ Possess knowledge of administration ordering and receipting of subsistence.
+ Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents
+ Operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
+ Storing, stacking, palletizing, removing, staging, rearranging material in warehouse
+ Receiving and issue material
+ Noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations.
+ Taking inventory of stored materials.
+ Possess knowledge of standardized supply regulations, policies, and procedures or other written or verbal instructions relating to receipt and/or issue of stock or property items and should possess the ability to perform a range of standard and non-standard clerical assignments and resolve recurring problems.
+ Must be knowledgeable in the Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS) automated system to process all transactions and research system to answer customer concerns.
+ Must have knowledge of the Subsistence Total Order Receipt Electronic System (STORES)
+ Must have a valid state Driver’s License.
+ Must be safety minded and have knowledge of safety standards.
+ Work well in a team environment and able to work with a diverse group of people.
+ Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and all others in a courteous and professional manner.
+ Other duties as assigned by management.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
+ Common area office setting with other employees, warehouse; refrigeration/freezer units; outside environment, physical environment such as exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise; may include overtime, or shift work.
+ Working conditions also includes performing the requirements under certain time and resources constraints; demands for occasional travel, in difficult surroundings, or conditions is vital to properly defining the position’s requirements; may require other working environment not listed.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
+ High School Diploma or GED; Associates degree preferred.
+ Must have a valid REAL ID State Driver’s License with no restrictions.
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI Tier 1 Public Trust.
+ Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as a birth certificate or a U.S. Passport.
+ Must be able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Bragg Installation.
EXPERIENCE:
+ Ideal candidate has completed prerequisite training for Army Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 92A1O/2O, Automated Logistics Specialist or have equivalent training with 3-4 years of warehouse experience in the grade of E-4 to E-5.
SKILLS:
+ Strong communication and listening skills.
+ Computer, problem solving, basic mathematics skills
