    Job Description

    In this role, the Designer will spearhead the development of a dynamic in-store touchpoint strategy throughout North America, covering both retail and wholesale sectors. Responsibilities include producing print-ready art aligned with global standards, while staying ahead of design trends and consumer insights. This role involves creating immersive spatial experiences and 3D environments—conceptualizing retail fixtures, window displays, and in-store elements using advanced modeling tools to ensure both visual appeal and structural feasibility. As part of the Creative Visual Merchandising and Operations team, the Designer will collaborate in a fast-paced setting to bring brand objectives to life.

    Responsibilities:

    Creative Design and Execution:

    • Design visually captivating graphics, signage, promotional materials, and spatial elements for retail environments.

    • Stay updated on industry trends in both graphic and experiential design, integrating innovative ideas into displays and 3D environments.

    • Conceptualize and render retail fixtures, window displays, and in-store elements using advanced 3D modeling tools.

    • Translate and adapt designs to various fixture formats and sizes in both 3D and 2D, ensuring structural feasibility and aesthetic integrity.

    • Uphold brand design standards across all touchpoints, including physical spaces and digital assets.

    • Demonstrate agility, proactively learn, and adapt to evolving design technologies and changing business needs.

    • Collaborate effectively in cross-functional partnerships, working quickly with multiple rounds of review.

    File Organization and Production Oversight:

    • Organize and prepare files for final artwork release to vendors with absolute accuracy and attention to detail, including 3D specifications and material guidelines.

    • Collaborate with teammates and business partners to define project parameters and prepare layouts for production, including spatial plans and fixture drawings.

    • Apply a sense of urgency and focus on priorities, demonstrating strong design composition for regional implementation and production.

    • Prepare delivery packages, checking dielines, dimensions, specs, and 3D render accuracy; review/provide feedback on proofs and prototypes.

    Brand Representation and Communication:

    • Represent the brand consistently in the region, leveraging understanding of the North American market to devise localized solutions for both graphic and spatial executions.

    • Take ownership of work quality, embody brand values, and foster collaborative, proactive, and organized communication with peers and partners.

    • Embrace new challenges in a fast-growing brand environment, including the integration of immersive and experiential design elements.

    Visual Merchandising Impact and Project Prioritization:

    • Utilize expertise in VM design, spatial planning, and trends to conceptualize, plan, and execute impactful in-store executions for company stores and key retailers.

    • Oversee graphics and spatial elements from design to production, including reviewing proofs, prototypes, and providing feedback from cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

    • Serve as the creative voice for all timelines, proactively addressing potential risks/delays and prioritizing critical projects with workable solutions.

     

    Compensation: $45/hr to $50/hr

     

    Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

     

    Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    All applications must include a portfolio and/or work samples!

     

    • 5+ years of in-store design experience, preferably with a footwear and apparel brand.

    • Demonstrated mastery in industry-standard software - Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Rhino, and 3D software such

     

    as SketchUp and other relevant tools.

     

    • Strong print design, production skills, and technical knowledge.

    • Skilled in developing concepts for various design aspects.

    • Delivery of scalable, innovative, and budget-conscious creative solutions.

    • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional partnerships.

    • Strong, concise communication skills.

    • Flexible with a hybrid work schedule.

    • BA/BS/BFA in Graphic Design or Industrial Design. • Experience working in Asana.

    • Understanding of retail, worked in the store itself huge plus: how consumers are engaging with a space.

    • Retail background, even working on the sales floor.

    • 3D experience - used any 3D tools, e.g. 3D sketchup.
