Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a Project Manager who is detail oriented and a motivated self-starter. The candidate will be an integral part of a diverse team of professionals and subject matter experts providing alteration and installation support to our NAVAIR customers. The selected candidate will support BAE Systems, Installation and Certification (I&C) Branch in managing all functions of the Fleet Support Engineering (FSE) project and Combat Systems installations managed by Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Webster Outlying Field (WOLF).
The selected candidate will assist FSE subject matter experts with planning, resource management, budgeting and technical operations for CONUS and OCONUS ship and shore installations. Develop work breakdown structures and plan of action and milestone schedules to ensure proper project execution and identify technical and business resources required. Review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports. Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives. Conduct on-site job inspections and reviews. Provide analytical and technical guidance to project teams.
Additionally, the selected candidate will be responsible for managing and performing the following IFF system duty s:
+ System assessments such as ALOA s, CSSQT s, and MCA s.
+ Mode S and OE-120B/UPX system upgrades on board Navy ships or land-based sites.
+ Answering a call for an On Board Technical Assistance (OBTA).
+ Communicating with ship s force, government customers, and BAE Systems project leads in a professional manner
This position is located St. Inigoes, MD. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in state or be willing to relocate to St. Inigoes, MD or surrounding area.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree in business, project management, engineering or related discipline and at least 4 years of related experience OR High School diploma and at least 8 years of related experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience with Navy Modernization Program and performing shipboard system installations
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Project/Program Management
Ability to demonstrate professionalism, leadership and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to all levels within the company
Ability to initiate, prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Navy Modernization Processes and shipboard installations
Minimum of 1 year of budgeting experience
Comprehensive understanding of NAVSEA Technical Specification 9090.310(series) and NAVSEA Standard Items
Ability to read and interpret ship installation drawings
Ability to recruit, select, mentor, motivate and develop direct reports
PMP Certification
Willingness to travel up to 15% yearly
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680
