We are seeking a Program Manager to join the Strategic Alignment unit within UW Information Technology (UW-IT)—the central IT organization supporting all three UW campuses, medical centers, and global research operations.
This is your opportunity to lead high-impact programs that connect technology to university-wide strategy, ensure inclusive and informed decision-making, and drive mission-critical outcomes across the institution.
What You’ll Do
As Program Manager, you will:
• Lead UW's Information & Technology Governance program — shaping university-wide decisions on IT services, strategies, and standards
• Facilitate strategic alignment — working with cross-functional stakeholders to turn ideas into actionable, decision-ready recommendations
• Define and drive high-impact programs and initiatives — supporting innovation, risk management, and long-term strategic planning
• Collaborate across the institution — influencing executive leaders, faculty, IT teams, and business units to build consensus and deliver results
• Lead with vision — managing complex, cross-organizational efforts that impact teaching, research, and operations at the highest levels
What You Bring
Required:
•️ Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
•️ 5+ years of experience in program or project management
•️ Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across large organizations
•️ Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
•️ Strategic thinker with problem-solving expertise
•️ Experience translating business needs into operational plans and outcomes
Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
Pay Range Minimum:
$124,992.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum:
$165,000.00 annual
