Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
The NBCUniversal Early Careers team recruits and develops the next generation of media and entertainment leaders, and we are looking for an enthusiastic Coordinator with excellent communication skills to join our Internship Experience Team! As a Coordinator on the Internship Experience team, you will work with our best-in-class internship experience and recruitment colleagues to ensure an excellent onboarding and program experience for over 800 interns each year.
This position will focus on supporting the execution of the internship program, including events and communications, while ensuring a holistic support system to incoming and current interns and supervisors. As needed, the Coordinator will participate in project work to support efforts in enhancing the program brand, supporting current interns with day-to-day needs, and the overall goal of delivering an internship experience that helps students grow & develop. Tasks may include, but are not limited to focus group facilitation, social media ideation & program evaluation analysis. This position reports to the Manager, Internship Program Experience.
Responsibilities:
+ Strategize with Manager, Internship Program Experience to design thoughtful, developmental, and inclusive events and programming.
+ Organize Intern event logistics including developing and sending invites, setting up and running the technology for virtual events, understanding turnout and engagement, and identifying new opportunities for developmental events.
+ Maintain Intern Microsoft Teams channels in a way that promotes connection, engagement and most importantly, fun for our Intern communities.
+ Identify unique and exciting ways to engage with Interns on Microsoft Teams channels, participate in LinkedIn boards, and create bi-weekly newsletter.
+ Maintain internal SharePoint sites which act as a one-stop resource hub for Interns and Managers, providing crucial links, information, articles and presentations, updating content as needed to include pertinent information to target audiences.
+ Support communications for incoming Interns, current Interns, and Intern Supervisors utilizing systems to personalize mass communications.
+ Support the Intern and Supervisor populations by helping to monitor our team support mailbox.
+ Present, either virtually or in-person, to large intern audiences as part of Internship Program curriculum.
+ On-site point of contact available to support Interns with large scale events.
Basic Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
+ 1-3 years of relevant work experience, including but not limited to, talent acquisition coordinator, human resources coordinator, HR operations, recruiting, or administrative assistant
+ Proficient knowledge and experience using Microsoft 365 (particularly Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, & PowerPoint)
Desired Characteristics:
+ Exceptional communication skills, ability to convey ideas clearly, professionally, and engagingly
+ Excellent ability to organize tasks and manage conflicting priorities with meticulous attention to detail
+ Interest in HR or TA operations, talent acquisition, talent development, organizational development, early career programming and/or human resources
+ Previous experience as a Campus Coordinator or Talent Acquisition Coordinator
+ Familiarity with onboarding processes for high volume internship, rotation, or entry-level programs
Additional Requirements:
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the Universal City, CA office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
