This role will lead Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Strategic Planning for Cytiva within Danaher’s Biotechnology Group (BTG). The position is responsible for driving inorganic growth through acquisitions and partnerships while shaping and executing the annual strategic plan for BTG. The ideal candidate combines deep life sciences expertise, strong financial acumen, and proven leadership in complex deal execution and strategic planning.
What you will do:
M&A Leadership
+ Own the full M&A lifecycle: target identification, valuation modeling, due diligence, negotiation, execution, and integration planning while collaborate closely with Cytiva leadership and Danaher Corporate Development to ensure seamless execution and integration.
+ Cultivate relationships with potential acquisition targets, investment banks, and external advisors and build and maintain a robust acquisition pipeline aligned with BTG’s strategic priorities, including mid-, near-, and long-term targets.
Strategic Planning
+ Lead or co-lead the annual strategic planning process for BTG, including market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and scenario planning.
+ Develop thought leadership on emerging and established industry trends to inform strategic priorities and translate strategic insights into actionable growth initiatives, including organic and inorganic opportunities.
+ Prepare board-level presentations and executive updates on strategic direction and M&A progress.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ Partner with Finance, Legal, R&D, Commercial, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and execution of strategic initiatives.
+ Drive post-acquisition integration planning and performance tracking.
Who you are:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Economics, Finance, or related field as well as an MBA or Masters Degree, along with 10+ years in M&A, corporate development, corporate strategy, investment banking, or private equity, with at least 5 years in life sciences or biotech.
+ 2-4 years in a top-tier consulting firm or equivalent experience focused on market analysis and/or growth/strategy commercial project; or an investment firm including PE or VC, or equivalent experience.
+ Experience leading over M&A diligence projects and e xperience in strategic planning and market analysis at a senior level.
+ Ability to lead market research projects executing VOC, use multiple other data sources to synthesize insights into a specific and actionable findings.
+ Deep financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence expertise. Prior experience building ROIC models.
+ Strong strategic thinking and ability to synthesize complex market data into actionable plans.
+ Exceptional communication and presentation skills for executive and board-level audiences along with the ability to thrive in a matrixed organization and influence senior stakeholders.

The salary range for this role is . This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
