Position Summary
Accurately and efficiently test a variety of moderate to complex fan and pump assemblies to achieve customer quality and on-time delivery schedule. Test products that contain mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic driven test systems, and of multiple part families. Receives general supervisory guidance.
Responsibilities
+ Performs basic to moderate test functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, and test fixtures.
+ Sets up basic to moderate test equipment on a variety of products to measure and record valve or system conformance to test specifications.
+ Be familiar and able to work with 120 to 480 Volt, 3 phase, 400Hz electrical test set ups.
+ Conducts tests using common and/or computerized data acquisition equipment and interprets/records test results on data forms. Uses X‐Y recorders, oscilloscopes, transducers, flowmeter, vibe machines, vibe tables and ESS chambers.
+ Interprets blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, customer requirements and quality directives.
+ Produces and inspects ATP data that conforms to product test specifications.
+ Must maintain the highest degree of customer service, quality, productivity, throughput, dependability, safety, a clean and organized work environment, and willingness to accept change.
+ Actively participates in lean initiatives and provides suggestions for cost savings improvements through waste elimination.
+ Observes all safety rules and maintains a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area.
+ Ensures all equipment is calibrated in accordance with calibration schedule.
+ May perform other related responsibilities as requested.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Certifications: One year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent.
Years Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience and/or training.
Skills:
+ Requires over three years minimum exposure to manufacturing environment.
+ Requires knowledge of engineering principles.
+ Air conditioning experience desired.
+ Machine shop knowledge a plus.
+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and safety procedures.
+ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
+ Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.
+ Must be able to fill out a test report and a Quality MRB report.
+ Must have ability to follow relatively complex written instructions.
+ Ability to train others.
+ Good troubleshooting skills required.
+ Ability to prioritize workload and complete tasks in a timely manner.
+ Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
+ Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Physical
+ Position requires the ability to frequently or constantly exert up to 20 pounds of force, frequently exert up to 50 pounds of force and occasionally up to 100 pounds of force to move or lift objects.
+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. High level of manual dexterity required.

Competitive Compensation
+ Pay Range: $23.75/hr to $39.55/hr
+ Participation in Annual Incentive Program
