TheIdaho Department of Insurance (DOI) (https://doi.idaho.gov/) is seeking to fill its full-time Producer Licensing Supervisor position.
We are looking for an individual who has a passion for protecting Idahoans, an eye for detail, excellent customer service skills, and a desire to lead a team! This leadership position manages four staff members in theProducer Licensing Section (https://doi.idaho.gov/industry/licensing-services/) to ensure that licensing of agents and those conducting insurance business in the state runs smoothly. This includes overseeing the continuing education (CE) program of Idaho’s producers and adjusters. We highly encourage individuals to apply quickly for this great opportunity at DOI!
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
+ Administer overall program for licensing and continuing education as it pertains to most insurance licensees;
+ Develop and maintain policies, protocols, and procedures for program;
+ Address complex questions regarding Idaho laws, rules, and administrative procedures as it pertains to licensing and the Continuing Education (CE) program;
+ Ensure proprietary database for program use is maintained and enhanced as needed;
+ Create legal referrals;
+ Testify at hearings;
+ Respond to requirements of federal, state, and legislative audits;
+ Manage licensing and CE budgets;
+ Represent agency on regulator panels, workgroups, national conferences, etc.;
+ Recommend and participate in creating advisories, bulletins and announcements that clarify or provide update on licensing or CE related subject matter;
+ Monitor exam vendor services, conduct annual exam review, update terms of service in agreement to ensure department and public needs are met and all security measures adhere to state or federal audit standards;
+ Coordinate exam and fingerprinting services for licensing purposes;
+ Supervise staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ Some Knowledge of program or project planning and implementation.
+ Experience developing and evaluating policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION SPECIALTIES
Experience:
+ Utilizing problem solving strategies as a responsibility of the job;
+ Compiling and analyzing information and/or data and writing reports and/or correspondence in a work setting;
+ Supervising staff;
+ Providing customer service;
+ Collaborating with other business units, agencies, or organizations; technical writing and communication strategies;
+ Interpreting and applying laws and regulation;
+ Explaining technical program related policies and procedures;
+ Reviewing documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
