**Pay Range:** $41.88 - $70.36 per hour

Summary:
The Revenue Integrity Systems Administrator is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and optimization of technical functionality enhancements for revenue cycle processes and workflows related to charging and meeting regulatory requirements. This role will act as a liaison between Operations the Rush Epic IT, and Epic technical services partners to ensure approved break/fix, optimizations, and process changes are configured and implemented effectively. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining efficient standard operating procedures, department policies, and system updates related to regulatory changes and clinical care. This role collaborates closely with operational leaders across the revenue integrity team, and the clinical departments to drive change initiatives for process improvement, and achievement of revenue cycle goals while exemplifying the Rush mission, vision and values.
Other information:
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems or other technical area of focus
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Epic Certification
• Advanced knowledge of medical codes, CDM, Fee Schedules, and Revenue Integrity Concepts
• Project management with demonstrated outcomes that involve harnessing software automation
• Advanced data analysis, data manipulation, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of federal, state, and payer-specific regulations and policies pertaining to documentation, coding, and billing, with demonstrated ability to interpret such guidelines
• Demonstrates commitment to continuous learning
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the technical functionality of Epic workflows to support optimized and streamlined charge capture in Epic and revenue integrity ancillary software
• Lead management initiatives of workflow design, policy development, and process improvements to drive meaningful impactful change to all technical components related to revenue streams and revenue integrity
• Collaborate with operations stakeholders at all levels of the organization to identify technical issues and propose efficient solutions that involve people, process, and technology
• Use standard change control processes related to validate break/fix, new build, and optimization of Epic and revenue integrity software
• Test, verify, and trouble-shoot new and existing HB & PB Epic build for accuracy and quality assurance
• Ongoing technical surveillance of Epic and all Revenue Integrity ancillary software that interfaces or drives revenue
• Assess current state Epic build, along with ancillary software, to identify optimization opportunities, then prioritize, and execute
• Work collaboratively with revenue integrity colleagues, clinical departments, and Epic build team to assist in the design, build, test, and validation of all areas of Epic build related to revenue, CDM, Fee Schedule, and charging workflows in the Epic application environment
• Create strategic plans, manage, and execute project work to provide quality and efficiency along with positive and measurable outcomes
• Mentor team members and others in the organization on the industry best practices for Epic build components and revenue integrity technology standards
• Develop presentations, learning tools, and training material to clearly communicate new workflow or process changes
• Prioritize continuous learning and development based on organizational needs including, but not limited to multiple Epic certifications and harnessing all forms of technology and automation for revenue integrity optimization efforts
• Participate in compliance investigations as needed and reports on contributing factors related to Epic system configuration
• Manage special projects assigned individually or in collaboration with other departments and utilize Epic reporting for results analysis
