Job Title: Software Developer
Job Description
Join a dynamic and innovative team comprised of four disciplines: CFD, Thermal, Engine Performance, and Software. As a Software Developer, you will primarily collaborate with a dedicated team member to enhance and maintain essential software tools that support the company's propulsion analysis. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of engine tests, reducing the time required from days to mere hours.
Responsibilities
+ Collaborate closely with the software team to enhance and maintain the operation meta database and other applications.
+ Develop and implement new features, including unit test writing and code quality improvements.
+ Contribute to the standardization and best practices of code quality.
+ Integrate and optimize metadata tracking to streamline test data accessibility.
+ Participate in the replacement of the front-end system with a TypeScript-based solution for metadata management.
+ Assist in running automated standard reports to evaluate test outcomes.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of experience as a software developer.
+ Proficiency in GO, Python, and TypeScript.
+ Experience with Kubernetes and time series data management.
+ Strong knowledge of Git and CI/CD systems such as Bamboo or Teamcity.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience working with time series data is highly advantageous.
+ Proven experience in writing unit tests.
+ Experience in aerospace or propulsion is beneficial.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Park, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
