1st Shift: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Mon – Fri
Job Description
• Request a contract for a Sr. Business Analyst role to strengthen financial data analysis and reporting within the Behavioral Health Payment Integrity business area.
• The resource will focus on requirements gathering, financial data mapping, cost analysis, and quality assurance for reporting initiatives tied to Behavioral Health clients.
Key responsibilities include:
• Collaborate with internal customers, Operational SMEs, Finance and BI developers to ensure accurate interpretation of financial and operational requirements for Behavioral Health reporting.
• Design, implement, and document financial reporting solutions that meet business needs and regulatory standards.
• Perform data mapping and reconciliation for Behavioral Health financial datasets.
• Conduct onshore financial data analysis to validate accuracy and integrity prior to ingestion.
• Coordinate ingestion with data engineering teams and validate post-ingestion datasets.
• Partner with BI developers to ensure dashboards reflect Behavioral Health financial KPIs.
• Execute quality assurance testing on dashboards and reports before client review.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.
Performance Metrics
• Delivery of accurate Behavioral Health financial and operational reports.
• Contribution to client savings, Optum revenue, and improved NPS scores through actionable insights.
• Support for Behavioral Health UHC lines of business and Payers.
Skills
• Strong proficiency in financial data analysis, SQL scripting, and data validation.
• Expertise in reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI) and ETL tools (Alteryx).
• Knowledge of Snowflake and data integration best practices.
• Hands-on experience with financial modeling, Microsoft SQL, Excel, and Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to create functional test cases and support UAT.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
Risks
• Failure to deliver Behavioral Health financial reporting could impact cost savings and revenue streams, affecting client satisfaction and Optum performance.
Savings/Revenue Impact
• Direct impact on claims, SLA compliance, and monthly savings reporting for Behavioral Health clients.
• Indirect revenue through continuous improvements in financial reporting accuracy.
• Savings/Revenue/IOI: (0/0/-13.75k per month) The team supports numerous processes including, but not limited to, monthly savings reporting, weekly TAT reporting, initiative/analytic centric performance reporting, etc.

**Pay Details:** $40.00 per hour
