Description We are seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis, supporting essential financial operations in the healthcare industry. This fully remote position requires candidates to reside on the East Coast for optimal collaboration. The ideal candidate will have expertise in corporate tax, financial audits, and ERP systems, along with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze journal entries and general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Manage corporate tax returns and sales tax filings in compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Ensure adherence to US GAAP and other accounting standards during financial audits.

• Utilize Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems to streamline accounting processes.

• Collaborate with internal and external teams to support audit preparations and resolve discrepancies.

• Monitor and maintain financial records to ensure data integrity and compliance.

• Conduct detailed reconciliations to identify and address variances.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Provide insights and recommendations for improving financial operations and processes.

• Uphold confidentiality and compliance standards during all accounting activities. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Staff Accountant, preferably with large organizations.

• Familiarity with Dynamics 365 or other major ERP systems is essential.

• Proven experience in financial audits with strong attention to detail.

• Comprehensive understanding of corporate tax and sales tax regulations.

• Solid knowledge of US GAAP and general accounting principles.

• All candidates are required to undergo a Level 3 background screening prior to starting.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent organizational abilities.
