    Description

    Our client in East Longmeadow, MA, is seeking a skilled Staff Accountant for a contract-to-permanent opportunity. This role offers the chance to work with a collaborative team, contribute to core accounting functions, and potentially transition to a permanent position based on performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements

    + Support accounts payable and receivable processes

    + Assist in month-end and year-end close activities

    + Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards

    + Research and resolve any discrepancies in financial data

    + Provide ad hoc financial reporting and assist with audits as needed

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

    + 2+ years of relevant accounting experience

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)

    + Strong attention to detail and superb organizational skills

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    + Excellent communication skills
