Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Los Angeles, California. This role requires strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles to support invoice processing and payment operations. The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience and be eager to contribute to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable transactions, including invoice coding and approvals.

• Ensure accuracy in 3-way matching for invoices to purchase orders and receipts.

• Conduct regular check runs and resolve discrepancies in payment processing.

• Utilize QuickBooks Online effectively to manage financial records and transactions.

• Verify invoice details and ensure compliance with company policies.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address vendor inquiries and payment issues.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable activities.

• Prepare reports and summaries related to payment schedules and outstanding invoices.

• Support month-end closing activities by reconciling accounts payable records.

• Assist in improving processes for greater efficiency and accuracy within the department. Requirements • Associate’s degree in accounting or a related field is required.

• Proven experience in accounts payable, including invoice processing and coding.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with accounting software.

• Strong knowledge of 3-way matching processes.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Effective communication skills for collaborating with vendors and internal teams.

• Prior experience in a similar role is highly preferred.
