    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    The Maintenance Technician will work within the powertrain team to achieve key results and support the company's goals. This role requires a strong knowledge of troubleshooting preventative maintenance and electrical systems. The Technician will report to various supervisors and managers throughout the production organization and must be communicative and proactive in the execution of daily activities. The main responsibility is to perform work to maintain and repair machinery, mechanical equipment, or the structure of the establishment.

    Responsibilities

    + Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand and power tools.

    + Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly.

    + Ensure building systems operate efficiently.

    + Inspect drives, motors, and belts; check fluid levels; and replace filters.

    + Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.

    + Record the type and cost of maintenance or repair work.

    + Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

    + Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools.

    + Possess basic knowledge of tools and machines, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

    Essential Skills

    + 8 to 10 years of experience in a related field.

    + High school diploma or GED.

    + Proficiency in maintenance technician skills, PLC troubleshooting, automation, preventive maintenance, pneumatics, and PLC programming.

    + Ability to troubleshoot electromechanical systems, including shafts, motors, chains, conveyor systems, and PLC systems.

    + Experience with troubleshooting robots and automated equipment.

    + Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic control systems, including the operation of cylinders and valves.

    + Proficiency with multimeter and other diagnostic tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Understanding of electrical control systems.

    + Mechanical knowledge and detailed troubleshooting abilities of robots and/or other automation equipment.

    + Familiarity with shafts, motors, chains, and various conveyor-related equipment.

    + Understanding of PLC logic controls, such as Rockwell or Siemens.

    + Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

    + Ability to operate mobile equipment, including forklifts and other powered industrial trucks.

    + Valid US driver's license and a clean driving record.

    Work Environment

     

    This position operates on 'A' shift, with a schedule that includes Sunday through Wednesday. Typical hours are Sunday from 5 am to 3:30 pm (or 5:30 pm if production operates) and Monday through Tuesday from 5 am to 5:30 pm. Wednesday hours are 5 am to 11:30 am, with the option to stay all day if needed. The role involves frequent standing, stooping, walking, lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds, and performing other similar actions during the workday. Expect to work 40-48 hours a week, typically four days per week.

    This is a Contract position based out of Casa Grande, AZ.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $34.00/hr.
