Job Title: Packing Associate
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Packing Associate for a temporary project. This role will focus on packaging, filling containers, sifting products, sealing, boxing, palletizing, and preparing them for shipment. Additional tasks include scooping, loading, lifting, wrapping, re-stocking shelves, assisting with the mixing process, and maintaining cleanliness of the tools used.
Responsibilities
+ Follow all company rules and policies, including attendance, OSHA safety, and Food Safety.
+ Produce high-quality, reliable, and safe products for pets.
+ Meet daily production objectives.
+ Manage effort and intensity to meet production targets.
+ Contribute to the team by helping and assisting in various areas.
+ Follow Food Safety Policy and GMP’s.
+ Clean and sanitize assigned areas within the facility.
+ Ensure FIFO is followed correctly on all raw materials.
+ Complete production records and documents properly.
+ Locate and pull correct items for production.
+ Accurately weigh items safely.
+ Avoid contamination by following all food safety procedures.
+ Ensure products meet customer specifications.
+ Follow SOP’s, GMP’s, guidelines, and policies.
+ Report department needs and questions to the Manager.
+ Use inventory, supplies, and material responsibly.
+ Communicate effectively with team members, managers, and other departments.
+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
+ Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and rewarding work culture.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to lift up to 60 pounds repetitively.
+ Physical ability to lift 55lbs.
+ Read and understand standard operating procedures (SOP's).
+ Convert kilos to pounds (basic math/fractions, decimals).
+ Attention to detail.
+ Ability to weigh and measure products accurately.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Cleaning, warehouse experience.
+ Experience in feed mill, production, mixer.
+ Experience with packing orders, packing boxes, packaging.
+ Knowledge of inventory control, data entry, and cycle counts.
+ Forklift and shipping experience.

Work Environment
Work in a brand new, modern, and clean facility. The environment is GMP compliant, requiring pants, t-shirt, closed-toe shoes, hair nets, and beard nets. Production workers are exposed to smells like Brewer’s Yeast, Chicken, Beef, and Pork, which may take a few days to adjust to. This role operates on the 1st shift, where production runs heaviest with three mixers running throughout the shift. A senior production worker will assist with basic training. Non-slip shoes are required to be kept at work for safety in the production and warehouse area.

This is a Contract position based out of East Earl, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
