Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a Maintenance Technician where you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical aspects of plant and yard equipment in a concrete manufacturing environment. This role operates primarily during the 3rd shift, with initial training on the day shift.

Responsibilities

+ Maintain all mechanical aspects of plant and yard equipment.

+ Understand and work with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyor and auger systems, power tools, overhead cranes, welding and fabrication, SMAW, GMAW, plasma torch, oxy/acetylene cutting, and wheeled vehicle repair and operation.

+ Work with various low/high voltages, motor starters, and VFDs.

+ Perform 60% reactive maintenance and 40% preventative maintenance.

+ Read and understand parts diagrams to assemble/disassemble miscellaneous equipment.

+ Communicate with supervisor on parts inventories and supplies.

+ Work comfortably in an outside environment 40-50% of the time.

Essential Skills

+ Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyor and auger systems.

+ Proficiency in using power tools, overhead cranes, welding and fabrication.

+ Experience in SMAW, GMAW, plasma torch, and oxy/acetylene cutting.

+ Wheeled vehicle repair and operation including yard tractors, forklifts, aerial lifts, skid steers, and wheel loaders.

+ Ability to work with various voltages, motor starters, and VFDs.

+ Automotive troubleshooting experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to read and understand parts diagrams.

+ Experience in blueprint reading and fabrication.

Work Environment

The role is based in a concrete manufacturing facility, characterized by a loud and industrial environment. Candidates will work with a team of six technicians and should be comfortable spending 40-50% of their time working outside. The shifts run from 7 PM to 5 AM or 5 PM to 3 AM, with initial training on the day shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grove City, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.
