Snapshot Of Your Day
As an FSR Field Service Representative specializing in
Reciprocating Compressors & integral gas Engines (RCE), you will travel to
client facilities across the US and some international. You will
provide technical advisory services on process reciprocating compressors,
high-speed compressors, integral gas engines, and related accessory
equipment. Your responsibilities include scheduled maintenance, installing
upgrades or new equipment, and responding to unplanned events. Your role is
crucial in improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime! You will
facilitate communication between field personnel and Siemens Energy engineering
centers, ensuring flawless execution of tasks. Documenting clearances,
addressing technical queries, and managing job progress are essential for your
success.
How You’ll Make An Impact
+ Maintain thehighest level of a zero-harm culture by following and enforcing allcompany and customer EHS policies and programs.
+ Interact withdifferent levels of customer and Siemens organizations to report progress,resolve issues, and identify potential services to be offered based oncustomer needs.
+ Perform complexproblem solving on machinery and ancillary systems. Coordinate withengineering in reporting and implementing changes to resolve issues.
+ Providetechnical directions to client or Siemens Energy employees. Communicateprogress, schedules, and open items with clients; Prepare detailedtechnical reports.
+ Travel forextended periods of time, both domestic and some international asassigned. (International assignments may include travel to developingcountries.)
+ Able to performduties on day or night shift under difficult conditions, heat, cold,noise, etc. Able to travel on short notice and work weekends and holidays.Physical ability to climb ladders and work around machinery.
What You Bring
+ High SchoolDiploma/GED that can be verified with 7+ years of combined experience withoverhauling process reciprocating compressors, high-speed compressors,integral gas engines; a Bachelor's degree in related field with relevant experienceis preferred.
+ Advancedproficiency in precision measurement and ability tounderstand and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
+ Excellent andprofessional oral and written communication skills, and the ability to conductdifficult discussions with clients to protect company interests;negotiating skills are a valuable plus.
+ Must beproficient using Microsoft Office and web-based portals; Basicunderstanding of instrumentation and control systems, PLC’s, etc. ispreferred.
+ Must hold validdriver’s license and either hold or able to obtain a passport and TWICcard.
+ Ability tocomplete offshore survival training if requested.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the
United States without need for urgent or future employer-sponsored work
authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be
eligible for internal transfers.
