Job Summary:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) provides day-to-day guidance to employees and management through coaching, counseling, career development, and performance improvement support. This role partners with business leaders to deliver aligned solutions to enhance employee engagement, morale, productivity, and retention. The HRBP serves as a liaison between HR and business units to ensure effective communication and a collaborative partnership.
Essential Duties:
Functional Operations:
+ Provide day-to-day guidance to management and employees, including coaching, counseling, career development and corrective actions.
+ Initiate, support and ensure the accuracy of data inputs and changes in the HRIS system of use
+ Coordinate with payroll, benefits, and other HR functions to ensure smooth, compliant and timely operations
+ Provide guidance on performance management and policy interpretation
+ Partner with the HR team to provide back-up support and complete special projects as needed
Performance Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
+ Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HR initiatives, recommending process improvements and best practices to enhance departmental support
Training & Team Support:
+ Train employees and leaders on business initiatives and programs
+ Ability to train peers within department
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication:
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
+ Partner with leaders to strengthen employee engagement, morale, productivity, and retention
Quality, Safety, & Compliance:
+ Support proper implementation of processes and procedures
+ Maintain in depth knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation
+ Manage and resolve employee relations issues in a fair, timely and legally compliant manner, ensuring consistent application of policies and practices across the organization
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
+ To ensure health and safety in the workplace and for employee protection, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. A respirator fit test will be required based on functional area.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Education:
+ **Required:** Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field. May substitute direct related experience in lieu of degree.
Essential Qualifications:
+ 4-6 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist supporting both management and employees
+ Hands-on familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday) and HR data analytics for workforce insights
+ Strong working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational development, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, performance management, and federal and state employment laws
+ Practical experience with FMLA, ADA, EEOC, and other employment law issues
+ Proven ability to partner with leadership to influence and support strategic and operational goals
+ Resourceful and analytical, with demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
+ Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion
+ Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through and execution skills
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally
+ Team-oriented, with the ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across functions
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
+ Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
+ Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
+ Alignment to Panasonic’s seven (7) core principles (contribution to society, fairness and honesty, cooperation and team spirit, untiring effort for improvement, courtesy and humility, adaptability, gratitude)
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Background in a start-up or high-growth manufacturing environment
+ Proficiency in supporting global or multicultural teams, or bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese
+ Skilled in leading or supporting organizational change initiatives, such as workforce transitions or cultural transformation
+ Strong capability in talent management, succession planning, or leadership development programs
+ Exposure to continuous improvement, Lean, or Kaizen environments and principles
+ Resilient, self-motivated, and able to work effectively under pressure
Preferred Certification(s):
+ PHR or SHRM
