Job Description:
Solve real-world challenges that impact the frontlines of public health, life science, and clinical research initiatives as a Research Analyst Sr Principal at GDIT. You’ll support the mission and grow with it, building a meaningful career in health.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:
+ Oversee health services research assistance program for Medicare and Medicaid, including data analysis, technical assistance, and assistance with Medicare/Medicaid data study protocols.
+ Manage all functional teams, delivery, and financial health of the program.
+ Develops plans, including budgets and schedules, and monitors tasks to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned program(s)
+ Establishes and defines program requirements and directs or performs in-depth studies to determine optimum program plan
+ Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met
+ Serves as primary point of contact for customers and other industry representatives to ensure conformance to customer requirements
+ Applies knowledge of standard software and quantitative and/or qualitative analysis techniques and health services research methods.
+ Applies knowledge and understanding of Medicare and Medicaid data sources, documentation, training/outreach, and health services research methods.
+ Supervises assigned technical and administrative staff, including subordinate supervisors, and performs personnel actions including hiring and performance evaluation
+ Responsible for profitability and revenue growth of assigned program
+ Assures quality of program products, services, and deliverables
+ Contribute knowledge and understanding of Medicare/Medicaid data using varied data sets, analyzing health service use or spending, quality of care, and health outcomes; use of Fee-for-Service claims data, Medicare Advantage (MA) encounter data, and related data
+ Oversees preparation of training materials and conducts training as needed.
+ Serves as a resource expert for external customers utilizing policy-related knowledge and expertise to research and resolve issues in a timely manner and customers’ satisfaction.
+ Provides expert insight to research and deliver ad hoc narrative reports and option papers with minimal turn-around time and with a high level of accuracy.
+ Provides recommendations and materials for customers related to national outreach and education.
+ Understands 508 compliance and applies principles to written documents to be posted to the web.
+ Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
+ Bachelor’s degree from four year college or university; Master’s preferred; at least 10 years related health services research experience and/or training
+ CMS data program experience
+ Preferred Technical Skills:
+ Effective organizational skills
+ Applied knowledge of research methods and statistical programming software
+ Knowledge and use of standard coding systems (CPT, SNOMED, RxNorm, ICD-10, etc.)
+ Proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and PDF documents
+ Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail, and timely responses to customer inquiries
+ Ability and willingness to learn and follow processes
+ Ability to work as a member of an integrated team
+ Excellent problem-solving skills including providing solutions and/or options to potential issues
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presenting
+ Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
+ Ability to maintain professional and ethical working relationships
+ Ability to interact professionally with a diverse customer group including executives, managers, subject matter experts, stakeholders and team members
+ Ability to work across a team of inter-disciplinary professionals

The likely salary range for this position is $166,280 - $224,968. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

GDIT typically provides new employees with 15 days of paid leave per calendar year to be used for vacations, personal business, and illness and an additional 10 paid holidays per year. Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee’s date of hire. The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees.
