Accounting Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of our accounting department. The role involves handling accounts payables, payroll review, day-to-day accounting tasks, and month-end processes.
Responsibilities
+ Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department.
+ Execute month and year-end processes.
+ Handle accounts payable, general ledger, and journal entries.
+ Perform balance sheet reconciliations and analyses.
+ Conduct revenue and expenditure variance analysis.
+ Monitor fixed asset and capital grants activity and subsystem.
+ Analyze accounting data and produce financial reports and statements for management and Board of Directors.
+ Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
+ Complete 1099s annually.
+ Collaborate closely with auditors.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in accounting, general ledger, reconciliation, payroll, and accounts payable.
+ Experience with day-to-day accounting tasks, including general ledger, reconciliations, and closings.
+ Experience reviewing final payroll.
+ Past experience with implementations.
+ Knowledge of GAAP non-profit accounting.
+ Excellent Excel skills.
+ Ability to manage various tasks with competing priorities.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Adherence to confidentiality policies.
+ Leadership capacity and teamwork skills.
+ Strong computer knowledge for using MS Office, accounting, and billing software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
+ Minimum 5 years of GAAP accounting experience.
+ Advanced Excel and computer system skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
